All site entrances will be marked using orange arrows from the nearest main road. Many sites are unsuitable for normal vehicles (i.e. not 4x4). Please ensure that you do not obstruct the entrance, as it can be difficult to pass when pulling a wide trailer.

Location

Take the B1202 from Wragby or Mkt Rasen to Holton cum Beckering. Turn off onto the B1399 (Fulnetby/Rand) for 1 mile. Entrance is past the site.

Terrain

Disused airfield, piles of mud & stone. No trees. Very muddy.

Features

Very exposed; wrap up warm!

Caravans only on selected events.

Location

Take the B1202 from Wragby or Mkt Rasen to Holton cum Beckering. Turn off onto the B1399 (Fulnetby/Rand) for 1 mile. Turn right towards Wickenby airfield; take track to right after ˝ mile.

Terrain

Overgrown collapsed buildings. Lots of trees, large piles of stones.

Features

Not as cold as the airfield.

Location

Terrain

Small old chalk quarry. One or two trees, small bumps and lumps. Good for RTV beginner or Comp safari.

Features

Good pub.

Open days only. Not very secure.

Used for

RTV, Comp Safari and Open days.

Barton Quarry

Location

From Barton take the A1077 towards Scunthorpe. Turn right after the roundabout towards the “clay pits”. At the end of the road turn left and follow the road, which rapidly turns into a track until the sign for the quarry entrance.

Terrain

Disused chalk quarry. Site is being used for dumping building waste & soil. Some trees and long drops.

Features

Also used by motorbike clubs.

Location

From the A46 Market Rasen to Caistor road; turn right at the first road signposted to Claxby (3rd turning from Caistor side). After 1.5 miles the road turns sharply to the left, and the site entrance is a track (Claxby house farm) to the right.

Terrain

Wolds grazing land. Gorse bushes and small shrubs. Soft sand. A few steep slopes and cracks in the soil. Slippery grass when wet.

Features

Views across Lincolnshire. Good driving for all disciplines.

Camping

Excellent grass field.

Used for

CCV, RTV and Comp Safari.

Location

Midway between Grimsby and Louth. Follow the A18 until the 90’ left bend just before Ludborough. Turn right immediately after this bend. After just under 1 mile turn right again towards North Ormsby village. Site is opposite main village road.

Terrain

Small old chalk quarry. Overgrown with brambles & nettles. Good drops.

Compact. Good for spectators.

Location

From Louth, take the bypass and follow signs for North Somercotes or Manby. Entrance is well signposted on the right after 2 miles. Trial site is usually near the observation tower.

Terrain

Designer site built for the purposes of off road motor sport. Very hard unforgiving clay in summer, very soft mud in winter.

Large area well serviced.

Good flat grass field, but exposed.
