BROCKLESBY COUNTRY FAIR FRIDAY 14TH JUNE -SUNDAY 16TH JUNE 2019
BROCKLESBY COUNTRY FAIR 16TH JUNE 2019
Once again we have been invited to attend at this year’s Brocklesby Show, and are pleased to be listed as one of their main attractions, so hopefully we will live up to their expectations.
Those who have been before will know what a good day out this is. For those who haven’t been, it’s a day of off-road driving when we take members of the public for a ride around a course laid out between trees and in and out of an old, overgrown quarry. This is our most important fund-raising events of the year when we earn the money it takes to keep other events afloat and make a sizeable donation to the Brocklesby charities fund. The Club has paid out a whopping insurance premium for this event, and we need you to help us get our money back! It’s a hard day’s work, but well worthwhile. We will reimburse any reasonable fuel claim.
Make no mistake, like all off-road events there is a risk of damage, so don’t bring your brand new Range Rover. But provided you drive carefully, you’ll have no trouble. We need as many drivers and vehicles as possible on the day please, both competition motors, and multi-seat vehicles for family rides. A minimum 3 point seatbelt is required for all passengers.
This year we have been given permission to camp both on the Friday and the Saturday nights. This will enable the course to be set on the Saturday with more people. However…..we need your help. The plea for Drivers has been mentioned but we also need people to help in the signing on tent, organise queues, chat to our customers, assistance with strapping passengers in and out of vehicles etc. There will be a rota available over the Fri night and Sat for people to put their names down for an allotted time. If you are coming to camp and enjoy the show then you will also be expected to assist in some way therefore giving other club members a breather and a break.
Camping is available from Friday evening by Kind permission of Brocklesby Estates and the site must be completely clear by Sunday evening.
This year, once again, the Estate is employing a security company to manage the gate, so it will not be possible to get into (or out of) the site after 8:30 on Sunday morning. If you can’t make it by this time you will have to park in the public car park and walk to the off-road area. Anyone arriving on Friday/Saturday should not have a problem, anyone just coming for the Sunday will need an entry pass.
Please contact us if you require a pass.
